Background & story
Sanja is a retired volleyball player, currently the Assistant Volleyball Coach for Vakifbank, Istanbul, and was the Head Coach of the Arizona State women's volleyball team from 2017–2022.
As a volleyball player, Sanja's Accomplishments:

Played volleyball for Serbian National Team before joining the University of Washington volleyball team.

Two time All-American

2005 Asics and CVU.com National Player of the Year

2005 PAC10 Player of the Year

Part of 4 NCAA tournament appearances, including 2 Final Fours

2005 NCAA National Championship and two Pac-10 titles

Ended career at Washington as the all-time leader in points, kills, and service aces

Graduated in 2006 with a degree in communications.

Played professional volleyball in countries including Greece, Puerto Rico, Italy, Azerbaijan, and Switzerland
Sanja began her coaching career at the University of Texas-San Antonio in 2012.

​In 2023 Sanja became a Certified Sports Life Coach®. She wants to use Sports Life Coaching to help coaches and athletes on all levels. She has a passion for empowering others because of the joy she saw in her life after making a change.
Professionally, Sanja is committed to serving and supporting athletes and coaches who want to become Champions in life and are committed to change to live their best life.
Personally, through the "live it to give it" model, Sanja wants to live her 10 Life and inspire others to do the same. She hopes to be a role model for her sister Marija, her daughter Stella, and her athletes.
Philanthropically, Sanja will implement new tools she has acquired through Sports Life Coaching to be able to implement them in the everyday life of sports. She has a passion for helping young women who need help understand they are more than enough so that they can endure society's pressure on everyone, especially on female athletes and coaches.
